Whether your parents have suggested therapy, or you are considering it on your own, welcome. I admire your courage to consider therapy and I am sorry for whatever circumstances led you here. I have a lot of experience and training in helping teenagers who are struggling with strong emotions (fears, worries, depression, numbness, anger, confusion, loss, or feeling overwhelmed). I also work with relational issues (family or peers) and unwanted behaviors (when you think, “why did I do that?” and “why do I KEEP doing that?!”). I understand that your privacy is very important to you, and please know that your trust is very important to me. So, when we work together, I will be open about what will and will not be shared with your parents.
